Short Bio
I first graduated in Biological Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST, Lisboa) where I also developed my Master thesis project: “Noninvasive measurement of steroid hormones in zebrafish holding water” (2012).
Since 2008 until 2014 I worked with Rui Oliveira as a research technician at his lab based at ISPA – Instituto Universitário (Lisboa).
Afterwards, I joined CCMAR (Centro de Ciências do Mar, Universidade do Algarve) as a Research Assistant and collaborated with Rui Oliveira Lab in the scope of Copewell Project: ‘A new integrative framework for the study of fish welfare based on the concepts of allostasis, appraisal and coping styles’.
In 2015, I have started my PhD in Behavior Biology (ISPA – Instituto Universitário) studying the mechanisms underlying the androgen response to social interactions.
